MOLO Village Reentry Programs
Because incarceration plays a substantial role in the lives of Russell families, precluding their ability to move beyond poverty, MOLO's programmatic focus is to work with youth, men, and women who are either at risk of incarceration or have recently been released.
Molo Village currently offers two reentry programs designed to engage and support returning citizens to become productive citizens in the community.
12-week Program - Participants meet each Monday, 5pm-8pm. Classes include lessons and discussions regarding emotional life skills such as grief, fear, depression, anger, relationships, parenting, and marriage. Other classes include: reading, reading comprehension, math, finance 101 including budgeting, health and nutrition, mindfulness and art therapy.
12-month Program - Participants meet each Monday, 5pm-8pm. Students will participate in the 12-week program but must also achieve 160 credit hours including 40 volunteer hours, participation in second chance resource and job fairs, workshops and clinics and monthly case management sessions. Following the completion of the 160 credit hours and after being in the program for one year, the students can elect to participate in a second year of lessons and workshops leading toward possible home ownership and/or rent to own.
